Eric Hilliard Nelson (May 8, 1940 – December 31, 1985), better known as Ricky Nelson or Rick Nelson, was an American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist, and actor. He placed fifty-three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1957 and 1973, including nineteen top-ten hits, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on January 21, 1987. Nelson began his entertainment career in 1949 playing himself in the radio sitcom series, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, and, in 1952, appeared in his first feature film, Here Come the Nelsons. In 1957, he recorded his first single, debuted as a singer on the television version of the sitcom, and recorded a number one album, Ricky. In 1958, Nelson recorded his first number one single, "Poor Little Fool", and, in 1959, received a Golden Globe Most Promising Male Newcomer nomination after starring in the western film, Rio Bravo. A few films followed, and, when the television series was cancelled in 1966, Nelson made occasional appearances as a guest star on various television programs. Nelson and Sharon Kristin Harmon were married on April 20, 1963, and divorced in December 1982. They had four children: Tracy Kristine, twin sons Gunnar Eric and Matthew Gray, and Sam Hilliard. On February 14, 1981, a son was born to Nelson and Georgeann Crewe. A blood test in 1985 confirmed Nelson was the child's father. Nelson was engaged to Helen Blair at the time of his death in an airplane crash on December 31, 1985. Gunsur was born in 1975 as the second child of a family of Tatar descent (a Turkic ethnic subgroup). His mother, Sibel, was a lecturer and his father, Teoman, was an industrial engineer who graduated from the Middle East Technical University and worked in a nuber of different sectors. His older sister Zeynep Gunsur Yuceil, who is a choreographer of modern ballet, is also a lecturer. He began his acting career at the age of seven in various commercials. At the age of 14, he appeared in Okan Uysaler's Past Spring Mimoses with actors such as Rutkay Aziz, Filiz Akin and Musfik Kenter. After graduating from the Italian High School, he entered the Marmara University Communication Faculty and graduated with honors. Gunsur gave concerts with a music group and ran a restaurant for four years. With a friend's help, he auditioned for a role in the movie Hamam. After the trial shot, he was accepted for the role and the film was directed by Ferzan Ozpetek. After this film, he decided to turn to acting. She is perhaps best-known for portraying the Female Changeling on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also appeared in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation as an "Ancient humanoid", a member of the race responsible for populating the galaxy with humanoid life forms. She had previously played Clark Kent's mother Martha Kent on the popular TV series Superboy. She also appeared in the 1966 film Seconds by John Frankenheimer, in a 1963 episode of The Outer Limits, "Corpus Earthling," and in 1981's Harry's War. She also appeared in the "I Spy" episode "A Room with a Rack" in 1967, as a globe-trotting pilot friend of Kelly Robinson and Alexander Scott. Jens graduated Bay View High School with a 96 average and was crowned Miss Bay View at the long running South Shore Water Frolics. Later in life she remarked that "the only time I can imagine contemplating suicide would be if I was told that I had to go back and live in Milwaukee forever." She has been married twice, first to film actor Ralph Meeker, and then to television personality Lee Leonard. Her performances in the theatre have been rare but well regarded. She nabbed the lion's share of attention in the small role of "The Thief" in the New York premiere production of Jean Genet's The Balcony. She won excellent notices playing Josie in A Moon for the Misbegotten at the downtown Circle-in-the-Square theatre in the late 1960's in New York, and she did a Cleopatra at Stratford. Jens' debut was in the title role of Terror from the Year 5000, which was later featured in the 8th Season of Mystery Science Theater 3000. She subsequently had major roles in Angel Baby and the television series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman. In 1971, she also appeared as a widow with two children in the 1971 Gunsmoke episode, "Captain Sligo," with Richard Basehart in the title role as an Irish cattle buyer who courts her. She has a very distinctive and sultry voice, and has also narrated a number of documentaries including The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century and the film "Clan of the Cave Bear" starring Darryl Hannah. Valery Petrovich Todorovsky (Russian: Вале́рий Петро́вич Тодоро́вский; Ukranian: Валерій Петрович Тодоровський; born 9 May 1962; Odessa) is a Russian film director, screenwriter, producer whose best known film is "Hipsters" (2008). He is the son of filmmaker Pyotr Todorovsky (1925-2013) and the father of the filmmaker Pyotr Todorovsky Jr. (1986). Of his earlier films, The Hearse (Katafalk) won the Grand Prix at Mannheim (1990) and Love (Lyubov) received Ecumenical Prize at Cannes (1992), and won awards at Sozvezdie, Chicago, Geneva and Montpellier Film Festivals. Todorovsky made a name for himself with the crime melodrama set in Moscow, The Country of Deaf (Strana Glukhikh), scripted by actress-director-scriptwriter Renata Litvinova based on her own novella To Have and to Belong. The film was entered into the 48th Berlin International Film Festival in 1998. In 1999 he was a member of the jury at the 21st Moscow International Film Festival. His 2008 musical film Hipsters won the Golden Eagle Award and Nika Award for Best Film. Valery Todorovsky also co-produced the Russian gangster TV series Brigada (2002) (which eventually received a cult popularity) and the 2005 TV adaptation of the Master and Margarita for Telekanal Rossiya. In 2013, Russian TV main channel "Channel 1" showed a serial The Thaw. It was Valeriy's debut on TV as a director. The ratings proved the serial was received with a great success. The serial is a melodrama about life in the Soviet Union during the early years of Nikita Khrushchev's era. In 2022, The Russian streaming service More.tv showed the drama In two, directed by Todorovsky, and starring Alexander Petrov, Danila Kozlovsky and Irina Starshenbaum.
