James L. Brooks
Born: May 09, 1940
North Bergen, New Jersey,
Age: 84
James Lawrence Brooks is an American director, producer and screenwriter. Growing up in North Bergen, New Jersey, Brooks endured a fractured family life and passed the time by reading and writing. After dropping out of New York University, he got a job as an usher at CBS, going on to write for the CBS News broadcasts. He moved to Los Angeles in 1965 to work on David L. Wolper's documentaries. After being laid off he met producer Allan Burns who secured him a job as a writer on the series My Mother the Car. Brooks wrote for several shows before being hired as a story editor on My Friend Tony and later creating the series Room 222. Grant Tinker hired Brooks and Burns at MTM Productions to create The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1970. The show, one of the first to feature an independent working woman as its lead character, was critically acclaimed and won Brooks several Primetime Emmy Awards. Brooks and Burns then created two successful spin-offs from Mary Tyler Moore in the shape of Rhoda (a comedy) and Lou Grant (a drama). Brooks left MTM Productions in 1978 to co-create the sitcom Taxi which, despite winning multiple Emmys, suffered from low ratings and was canceled twice. He moved into feature film work when he wrote and co-produced the 1979 film Starting Over. His next project was the critically acclaimed film Terms of Endearment, which he produced, directed and wrote, winning an Academy Award for all three positions. Basing his next film, Broadcast News, on his journalistic experiences the film earned him a further two Academy Award nominations. Although his 1994 work I'll Do Anything was hampered by negative press attention due to the cutting of all of its recorded musical numbers, As Good as It Gets (co-written with Mark Andrus) earned further praise. It was seven years until his next film, which came in the shape of 2004's Spanglish. His sixth film, How Do You Know, was released in 2010. Brooks also produced and mentored Cameron Crowe on Say Anything... (1989) and Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson on Bottle Rocket (1996). Although he did not intend to do so, Brooks returned to television in 1987 as the producer of The Tracey Ullman Show. He hired cartoonist Matt Groening to create a series of shorts for the show, which eventually led to The Simpsons in 1989. The Simpsons won numerous awards and is still running after 20 years. Brooks also co-produced and co-wrote the 2007 film adaptation of the show, The Simpsons Movie. In total, Brooks has received 47 Emmy nominations, winning 20 of them.

Christian Bach
Born: May 09, 1959
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Date of death: Feb 26, 2019 (59)
In her childhood she studied ballet and jazz, later, as a teenager, she began to take acting classes and from the age of 16 she captured the attention of producers. In spite of dedicating herself to the artistic medium, the actress decided to study law, where she had a professional training, which she complemented with the learning of English, French and Russian. At the end of her career, she worked in the Argentinean soap opera El amor tiene cara de mujer, at which time Valentín Pimstein, a renowned Chilean producer of Mexican soap operas, who was in Argentina, discovered Bach's talent. After two years of negotiations, the producer convinced Christian Bach to travel to Mexico to have some participations in the soap opera Veronica, in 1979. Later, she was included in the second stage of Los ricos también lloran, where she played Edith González's mother. The actress continued with firm steps with Colorina y Soledad, a production in which she met the man who would become her husband, Humberto Zurita, a person who, besides becoming her partner, began to accompany her professionally. Another of her most outstanding projects was Bodas de Odio, in 1984, where she played Magdalena Mendoza, a young woman who is in love with a modest soldier, but is forced by her mother to marry a man of high society. Years after this melodrama ended, producer Ernesto Alonso would give her the dress she wore in the finale of this telenovela so that she could marry Humberto Zurita in real life in 1996. In 1996, another success would come to her career but as a producer, Cañaveral de Pasiones was placed in the first places of audience with this story starring Daniela Castro, Juan Soler and Francisco Gattorno. In this telenovela, her son Sebastián Zurita would make his artistic debut. In Televisa she produced Bajo un mismo rostro, telenovela with which she would say goodbye to the company and would begin to have one of the most important changes in her life at a professional level, moving to TV Azteca. At TV Azteca she would begin one of Christian's most ambitious projects, La chacala, where she participated as producer and protagonist, playing three characters: Hilda, Liliana and Delia. After finishing, she continued behind the scenes with Azul Tequila, where she gave her first opportunity to Bárbara Mori, with El candidato and La calle de las novias. After almost four years of not starring in a telenovela, she reappeared in Agua y Aceite with Humberto Zurita, the last project of the production company Zuba, a partnership between the couple. After finishing this project, the couple decided to travel to Miami, United States, where they lived. In 2017, Bach and her husband announced her retirement from the screen. By that time, the actress's health was deteriorated by a rare degenerative disease. Her last years were spent with her family at home. Bach passed away on February 26, 2019, in Mexico City, Mexico, due to a respiratory arrest. Her two sons -Emiliano and Sebastián- are owners of the production company Addiction House projects.

Denis Robert
Born: May 09, 1958
Moyeuvre-Grande, Moselle,
Age: 66
Denis Robert (born 9 May 1958) is a French investigative journalist, novelist and filmmaker. He formerly worked for twelve years for the newspaper Libération. Robert's books, films and press interviews, denouncing the opaque workings of the Clearstream clearing house, earned him into more than 60 lawsuits in France, Belgium and Luxembourg by banks, such as Bank Menatep (a Russian bank) and BGL (BNP Paribas Fortis), as well as the Clearstream company. In 2008, he was involved in a polemic with Philippe Val (former director of the magazine Charlie Hebdo) and journalist Edwy Plenel in relation to the Clearstream affair. On 3 February 2011, after ten years of litigation, Robert was cleared by the Court of Cassation of his conviction for both of his books Révélation$ and La Boîte noire, as well as for his documentary film Les Dissimulateurs. Robert is also a painter, whose work is displayed in Paris art galleries. Robert studied psychology and obtained a Master of Advanced Studies in psycholinguistics. After starting a fanzine Santiag in Lorraine in 1982, he joined the editorial staff of the monthly magazine Actuel, where he worked for a year. At the end of 1983, he joined Libération as a journalist, first as a correspondent in Eastern France. He was then transferred to cover financial and political affairs in the society department. He resigned in 1995 to focus on his own writing work. By this time he had already published two novels, Chair Mathilde in 1991 and Je ferai un malheur in 1994. But the general public only got acquainted with him in early 1996 with his essay Pendant les affaires, les affaires continuent. Also in 1996, Robert gathered seven anti-corruption magistrates to start the Appel de Genève (Geneva Appeal), to create a European judicial area to fight financial crime more effectively. The Appel de Genève is the subject of a book La Justice ou le Chaos, published the same year. It was followed by a dozen novels and by as many essays on investigations of the multinational finance company Clearstream. In late 1997, Robert planned to denounce the consequences of what he calls "the machine" (the capitalist economic system) for the poorest. In Portrait de groupe avant démolition, Robert presented and illustrated a collection of street photographs of homeless persons taken by one of their own, René Taesch. In addition to his books, Robert has directed and co-directed five documentary films, one for cinema with the cineast Philippe Harel, Journal intime des affaires en cours (1998) and later four others for television: Le cahier (1999), Les Dissimulateurs (2001), Histoire clandestine (2002), L’affaire Clearstream racontée à un ouvrier de chez Daewoo (2003). ...
