Barry Windsor-Smith (born May 25, 1949) is a British comic book illustrator and painter whose best-known work has been produced in the United States. He attained note for working on Marvel Comics' Conan the Barbarian from 1970 to 1973 and for his work on the character Wolverine, particularly the 1991 "Weapon X" story arc. His other noted Marvel work included a 1984 "Thing" story in Marvel Fanfare, the "Lifedeath" and "Lifedeath II" stories with writer Chris Claremont that focused on the de-powered Storm in The Uncanny X-Men, as well as the 1984 Machine Man limited series with Herb Trimpe and Tom DeFalco. After leaving Marvel, Windsor-Smith became the creative director and lead artist at Valiant Comics, where he illustrated the company's revival of the 1960s Gold Key Comics character Solar and created the original characters Archer and Armstrong. He was also the chief designer of the "Unity" crossover storyline. After leaving Valiant in 1993, Windsor-Smith did work through a number of publishers, including co-creating the vampiric character Rune with Chris Ulm, which was published as part of Malibu Comics' Ultraverse. Rune's adventures included a crossover with Conan that Windsor-Smith wrote and illustrated. He also provided art for the WildStorm Productions/Image Comics storyline "Wildstorm Rising,"  though he later came to regret that work. He subsequently created an oversized anthology series, Barry Windsor-Smith: Storyteller, through Dark Horse Comics, though it was cancelled after nine issues. Windsor-Smith released his subsequent work through Fantagraphics, including the Storyteller spin-off Adastra in Africa, which had originally been conceived as a "Lifedeath III" story for Storm; two volumes of the retrospective hardcover art book Opus; and Monsters, a 360-page hardcover published in 2021 that had originally been conceived in the mid-1980s as a Hulk story. After working with several bands, she won the Italian talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in March 2010, and signed a contract with record label Universal Music. Since 2010, she has released 7 solo studio albums, 1 extended play and 39 singles, topping the Italian Singles Chart and the Italian Albums Chart four times and selling more than 1.6 million records in Italy. On 18 February 2012, she won the Sanremo Music Festival 2012 with her song "Non è l'inferno" and she represented Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "La mia città", finishing 21st. After discontinuing his engineering studies to pursue his passion and become a director, he enrolled at a film academy and attended courses and workshops, besides participating in short film contests. After shooting more than half-a-dozen short films, he directed his first full-length bilingual film romantic comedy Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi (Tamil) and Love Failure (Telugu) based on one of his own short films.

Torill Kove is an award-winning Norwegian-Canadian filmmaker and animator. Born in Hamar, Norway, she has lived in Montreal since 1982. Three of her films have been nominated for Academy Awards®, with The Danish Poet, narrated by Liv Ullmann, winning the coveted golden statue in 2007. Kove’s films are known for her expressive designs and playful and poignant autobiographical themes. Her work frequently deals with the challenges of family and parenting, while lightly exploring questions around memory, history and birth. Kove made her directorial debut in 1999 with My Grandmother Ironed the King’s Shirts (co-produced by the NFB and Studio Magica). Loosely inspired by the life of her grandmother, the film was nominated for an Academy Award®. Following The Danish Poet, a love story and lightly philosophical take on the random nature of existence, Kove returned with Me and My Moulton (2014), about a middle child’s search for normalcy in the face of her loving but eccentric parents. The film won Best Animated Short at the 2015 Canadian Screen Awards and was also nominated for an Academy Award®. Threads (2017) tackles the complexities of parenting and maintaining connections in a fragmented world.
