Peter Stephen Paul Brook CH CBE (March 21, 1925 – July 2, 2022) was an English theatre and film director. He worked first in England, from 1945 at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre, from 1947 at the Royal Opera House, and from 1962 for the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC). With them, he directed the first English-language production in 1964 of Marat/Sade by Peter Weiss, which was transferred to Broadway in 1965 and won the Tony Award for Best Play, and Brook was named Best Director. He also directed films such as an iconic version of Lord of the Flies in 1963. He was based in France from the early 1970s, where he founded an international theatre company, playing in developing countries, in an approach of great simplicity. He was often referred to as "our greatest living theatre director". He won multiple Emmy Awards, a Laurence Olivier Award, the Japanese Praemium Imperiale, the Prix Italia and the Europe Theatre Prize. In 2021, he was awarded India's Padma Shri.

John Trengove (born March 21, 1978; Johannesburg) is a South African film director, known for The Wound (2017) and Manodrome (2023). John Trengove was born in Johannesburg in 1978. Trengove is the son of famous South African advocate, Wim Trengove. He attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2010 he directed the miniseries Hopeville, which was nominated for an international Emmy and received the prestigious Rose d'Or for drama. It was also released as a 92-minute feature film. His short film, The Goat, premiered at the Berlinale Film festival in 2014 and screened at over 40 film festivals worldwide. In 2017, The Wound was releases, which is a controversial film which tracks a closeted relationship between two men in the context of the Xhosa initiation ritual. The film premiered at the Sundance film festival, and won best feature at Frameline, Sarasota, Valencia and Taipei Film Festivals. In 2023, he directed Manodrome, which has been labeled as a serious movie that may not appeal to everyone.

In 2013, he was chosen for the role of Tom in the series Sous le soleil de Saint-Tropez, then played the role of Adrien in an episode Section de recherches. The same year, he played in the film Paroles. He appeared in the film Avis de mistral, with Jean Reno in 2014. The same year, he formed a comic duet with the actor Kevin Levy and together they created their first show Kevin et Tom. The two comedians were the opening act of Gad Elmaleh at the Olympia then went on tour on Parisian stages. In parallel with their show, they launched a new format, mini-video sequences of around 3 minutes entitled: "How ...". In March 2018, he released his first single "Are We Too Late" under the Roy Music label. He is inspired by artists like John Mayer, Matt Corby or even Ben Howard. On 14 January 2020, the public national television channel France 2 announced that it has selected Tom Leeb to represent France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020, scheduled for May 16, with his song Mon alliée (The Best in Me). From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Virginia Anna Adelheid Weidler (March 21, 1927 – July 1, 1968) was an American child actress, popular in Hollywood films during the 1930s and 1940s. She made her first film appearance in 1931. Her first credited role was in 1934. Virginia made a big impression on audiences as a little girl who would "hold my breath 'til I am black in the face" to get her way. For the next several years, she would appear in many memorable films. Despite being under contract to Paramount, just as many of her roles of the period took place while on loan to RKO-Radio Pictures. When Paramount did not extend her contract, she was signed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1938. Her film career ended in 1943. At her retirement from the screen at age 16, she had appeared in more than forty films, and had acted with some of the biggest stars of the day. After her retirement, Weidler gave no interviews for the remainder of her life. She died of a heart attack at age 41 on July 1, 1968.

His "medium complexion" and "average build" were deemed perfect for the role. Since filming Life of Pi, Sharma has returned to studying philosophy at St. Stephen's College, Delhi of Delhi University, and intends to continue working in filmmaking in some capacity.[6] The movie has received critical acclaim and positive reviews for Sharma's performance.
