She is of Iranian and South African descent as her parents belong to different countries and cultures. She was born to her single mother and grew up with her two brothers, Thandanantu Sebastian Nomvette and Sandile Nomvette. Her Christian family raised Sophia, motivating and inspiring her to pursue her acting hobby. She has a strong singing voice and has worked on several musicals. Raised in Plano, Texas, Candice continued her childhood dream of becoming an actress by attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.F.A in Theatre.
